Tee Rhyme sweeps highest number of nominations at Eastern Music Awards 2018

The 2nd edition of Eastern Music Awards has finally unveiled the list of 2018 nominations which came off last weekend. Ghana's new sensation, Tee Rhyme who's currently making wild waves on the Ghanaian music scene, grabbed eight (8) nominations which is the highest number of nominations so far in this year's Eastern Music Awards - #EMA2018.

Oliver Oteng, best known in the showbiz arena as Tee Rhyme, appeared in the categories of the best; Hip-pop song of the year, Hiplife Song of the Year, Hiplife/Hip-pop Artiste of the Year, Rapper of the Year, Afropop Song of the Year, Collaborated Song of the Year, Eastside Song of the Year and the Artiste of the Year.

He is competing with influential artists like Opanka, Kuami Eugene, Choir Master, Wendy Shay, Kurl Songs and Koo Ntakra in the various categories.

Tee Rhyme, who had 5 nominations with no single award in last year's Eastern Music Awards has been marked by some notable industry personalities to pick up five (5) of the awards in this year's Eastern music awards, "with the energy and hardwork Tee Rhyme had put into his arts these past few months, producing great songs back to back with great videos on the airwaves, i am pretty sure he will pick up five (5) awards at least in the impending Eastern music awards 2018", Xbills Ebenezer, Ghana's current best video director and cinematographer commented when asked about his view on Tee Rhyme's numerous nominations.

Tee Rhyme added, ''...i have worked hard enough these past years and i guess this is a pay day for me and the fans, the nominations do prove that. We trust in the credibility of the organising team of the awards event to call a spade a spade on the D-day . The event is slated for the 2nd day of December, 2018 while the norminees jams preceding on the 24th november this year at Jackson park, Koforidua.
