This getaway trip by Kaya Tours Ghana Limited was in partnership with Koppan Hospitality and VoyagesAfriq.<br />
<br />
The drive to Keta is just about 2.5 hours if not the traffic on this particular stretch between Tema, Kpone and Dawhenya.<br />
<br />
Arriving at the gorgeous Aborigines beach resort in Keta, the visitors were ushered to the beach front with exciting borborbor and Agbadja songs and dance, served with fresh coconut juice.<br />
<br />
The Managing Director of Kaya Tours Ghana Limited <b>Mr. Abeiku Aggrey Santana</b> and the CEO of Koppan Hospitality <b>Mr. Edwin Koranteng</b> respectively welcomed the guests to the vibrant beach atmosphere amidst bonfire, hot grills, good music tunes from Feli Nuna also kept the visitors smiling and energized for hours while others interacted on sips of local drinks by <b>Naa Kay Kay services</b>.<br />
<br />
<b>DAY 2</b><br />
<br />
On Saturday, 29th June, 2019, the 45 visitors drawn from Banks, FMCG companies, Business Developers, Entrepreneurs and an African American woke-up to morning aerobics under the instruction of a retired army officer.<br />
<br />
The breeze from the sea, the sights and sounds of the waves made the morning fitness easy for an over 60 year old Black American. The breakfast was a good selection of dishes including kenkey and hot pepper, Aboolo, waakye, porridge and some continental beverage.<br />
<br />
<b>HISTORY</b><br />
<br />
Keta means <b>‘head of the sand’</b> located in the Volta Region founded by the two sons of <b>Amega</b>, <b>Akaga</b> and <b>Awanyado</b>. Until 1963, Keta was the capital of the Volta Region before the sea storms washed away the ancient town.<br />
<br />
Keta promises dauntless immersions in nature, adventure and history.<br />
<br />
The charm of the land between the sea and lagoon is in its contemplative beauty.<br />
 <br />
<b>TOURS</b><br />
<br />
The first stop on the itinerary was Fort Prinzenstein built by the Danes in 1784.<br />
<br />
This attraction served as a transit point for enslaved people from places including Togo, Dahomey and Accra before they were shipped to the Americas. The fort was used as a prison until it was damaged by a storm in 1980.<br />
<br />
Today, the ruins of the fort managed by the Ghana Museums and Monuments Board has dungeons, chains, shackles, stools, rusting cookware and other relics.<br />
<br />
Our next stop was the Cape St Paul lighthouse in Woe, built in 1802. This was an adventure not for the faint heart. The 120 meters staircase up the lighthouse feels narrow with every step managed by the Ghana Ports and Harbour Authority.<br />
<br />
However, the visitors were rewarded with a fantastic tour guide and a blast of fresh air overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, panoramic view of the land, the beach and the houses dotting the scenery.<br />
<br />
Lunch was served at a local chop Bar ‘’Chill Out’’<br />
<br />
Keta is a rejuvenated escape to add to any domestic tour itinerary. The participant was yearning for more experience and hence the Intercity Bus departed for Lomé/ Togo through the Aflao border.<br />
<br />
After almost an hour of immigration border formalities, officials of the Ghana Immigration Service escorted the group to the French side of the border.<br />
<br />
The fun bus drove through the principal streets of Lomé to Togo’s Independence Avenue and stopped at a local bar and supermarket for refreshment.<br />
<br />
Le Samedi Soir est toujours animé, meaning Saturday night is always buzzing. The Bus finally stopped at Boulevard Du Mono near the Ministere De la Securite where the young adults partied at ‘’Before & After’’ night club.<br />
<br />
The group returned to Keta around 2:00am on Sunday.<br />
<br />
The extraordinary fun experiential trip ended with rewards to almost every participant.<br />
<br />
The next fun trip is in <b>August and September 2019</b>, which will take place in <b>Mole National Park and Axim – Abidjan</b> respectively.<br />

The night saw some outstanding performances by the Mawuenya Morfiala Borbor Group  Dzelukop, Feli Nuna, Ratty Ghana and Lekzy Decomic.<br />

The participants were sourced from the U.K, USA, Nigeria and Ghana. A total number of 52 persons experienced the rich distinctive tour packages from Kaya Tours ltd within 3 days.<br />
<br />
According to the Managing Director of Kaya Tours Ghana ltd, Mr Abeiku Aggrey Santana, the demand for inbound tourism has invariably shifted from the traditional Sea, Sun and Sand resources to cultural, adventure, heritage and eco-tourism resources.<br />
<br />
The travel and tourism operator proclaims that, tourism has become a major vibrant sector of every economy, therefore players must be innovative in their product development.<br />
<br />
The first stop of the 3 days road trip was at Shai Hills game reserve for a short hiking to the Mogo hills, the ancestral home of the Krobos, wildlife including antelopes, baboons, caves and cultural remains were sighted.<br />
<br />
On the way to Akosombo the tourism Honcho, unfolded the historical values of the people of Akwamu, the construction of the Akosombo dam and township to the tourists on board the intercity STC 44 seater bus.<br />
<br />
Making the trip culinary oriented tours, local foods such as Waakye, Jollof rice, Banku and Tilapia, fresh palm wine, pito, sobolo etc. was served at Afrikiko river front resort in Akosombo.<br />
<br />
There is nothing quite trawling a large wide lake on a cruise boat and your hands through the water for a wonderful experience.<br />
<br />
On the second day of the tours, about 32 persons from Nigeria joined their Ghanaian, British and American counterparts to the famous Kwahu Easter celebration.<br />
<br />
In time with the ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture campaign to see Ghana, the first stop was at Bunsu Aboretum, where the tourist experienced the 320 – metre long canopy walk soak in the breath-taking fauna and flora with fascinating history.<br />
<br />
The 44-Seater Scania Marco polo comfortable Intercity STC coach departed to Kwahu at the peak of the journey. The first stop was at the Obo, Kwahu, Air Jay Zipline and the 877 Steps are required much adrenaline to make it to the zipline.<br />
<br />
On the 3rd day, the bus departed Accra for Ada in what Kaya Tours termed as ‘Rainbow Sun Set Experienced’.<br />
The first stop of this destination was at the A1 raceway, vrooom vrooooom!!!! Yes, these were the sounds of the go kart powered by Honda GX 270kl engines with equal acceleration.<br />
<br />
The day trip ended at Aqua Safari with party, fun boat cruises, horse riding and other activities.<br />
<br />
