The talent turned 31 today, May 26 and these new photos show a fresh new look to the superstar as he's gearing up for a series of back to back singles 'Me Nko Me Da' and 'Opposition' to be released in the coming weeks which will form part of his projects for the year.
About Rootikal Swagger
Richard Quaittoo (born 26 May, 1987), known by his stage name Rootikal Swagger, is a Ghanaian Afropop, Reggae, Dancehall, recording artist, songwriter and entrepreneur from Achimota. He is the CEO of 3Tymz Vibration Recordz.
He won the heart of Ghanaian reggea, dancehall lovers during Achimota Stands for Peace concert. Many recognize him as the 'next big thing' to take over Afropop, Reggae, Dancehall in Africa.
Life and music career
Richard Quaittoo from Akim Gyadam in the Akim Oda District and was born in Assin Nyarkumasi to Mr. Onoma Quaittoo and Mrs. Elizabeth Akosua Obenewaa Duoduaa in the Central Region of Ghana. He's the last born in a family of seven (7) siblings. He started his elementary school and junior high school at Gumbihini Catholic School in Temale, Northern Region and continued his senior high education at Osei Tutu Boys High School and Begoro Presbyterian High School where he gained his High School Certificate.
As far back early school days, young Rootikal Swagger realized his love and passion for music, having successfully written some few songs for himself and also put words together in a rhythmic manner. Since then, the young chap has never stopped singing both songs that he has written and composed.
In an industry flooded with people trying out a number of things in a bid to establishing their identity, Rootikal Swagger stands as one versatile and unique artiste with a sense of direction and purpose.
Though, things weren't easy pushing to the top, so he joined a record label, Lares Entertainment but unfortunately things didn't go as he expected with their contract terms. Later, he decided to put into practice all he had seen and learnt in the industry to form his own record label. His dream became reality as the CEO of 3tymz Vibration Recordz which was officially launched on December 21, 2017 and was unveiled as the first signed artiste unto the label.
He is a great performer and a good songwriter that won him the heart of many. Knowing the direction he was heading with his career, He worked day and night with his team to ensure that they achieved the best.
Rootikal Swagger was officially unveiled to the world, ending of last year and he has released three singles thus far this year. He started his professional music, which he released his first single 'Jah Nuh Lie' with a video on January 1, 2018, which premiered on 4syte TV. Again, the song has been gaining massive airplay on many radio stations across the country and beyond which even listed in Live FM's Top10 playlist, and it 10th-5th position for almost 5weeks. On Feb 26, 2018, Rootikal Swagger and his management released another single, titled ‘No More Fara’, the ‘Fara’ is a Dagbani language been spoken by the Dagombas and it literally means ‘Poverty’. The song featured award-winning songstress, Sherifa Gunu, who sang her part in Dagomba and a new beautiful afropop/dancehall diva, Zendimah, who sang hers in Frafra. Because of his hardwork, commitment and how good he is, award-winning beatmaker, Brainy Beatz gave him the opportunity to ride on his 'Attitude Riddim' which most of the top-notch artistes did their versions. Rootikal Swagger titled his 'How Could You' which was chosen among the best.
