The woes of owning a theatre by the people in Kumasi seem to be coming to an end as Nana Appiah and a delegation including the Minister of Tourism, Creative Arts and Culture, Catherine Afeku and Officer for Creative Arts, National Commission on Culture, Socrate Sarfo toured the Kumasi Cultural Centre, where the said project is said to be erected.
The Ashanti Region has fallen short in Infrastructure for the Creative Industry and owing to this, there is a drastic decline of gain and recognition in the Creative Arts Industry in the Ashanti Region. Because of this, most investments into the Industry are taken to the nation’s capital Accra, whilst talents die out in the Ashanti Region.
This move by the Nam mission is a good initiative to help the swinging creative industry in the Ashanti Region to be stable.
As to when and how the project will commence is not known to the public eye, but for sure it’s a done deal.
