In an exclusive interview with Nanakesse.com, the bright and breezy talent said ‘he had been through a lot and this time he's flying higher like an eagle’ hence his decision to label the EP as “The Eagle”.
"I have been in the music industry for over 8-years but had no strong manager to push me higher but now with One Side Family am going all higher like an eagle.
I have a track on the EP titled “Higher” which I wanted to name the EP with that but later realized how higher an Eagle flies to the sky so management and I decided to go for the name Eagle.
“In life it begins the struggle for a brighter and wealthier future and nothing can be more compared to good music, so he's here now to take Ghana music to the higher as ever" he said.
“It makes sense to just title my EP ‘The Eagle’ because I know and have faith that my future is made of greatness and so it is for anyone who has that immortal faith in the promise of God because once you have life, there's hope for a better day and to fly higher,” he added.
Kobena Richiz added that he will go all out to take on the world and show them what he is made of and why I took so long to finally come out.
“Now that the EP is out, I'm going to go all out to take on the world and show them what I'm made of and why I took so long to finally come out. It's time to reveal my true purpose to the world and how I’m changing the world through music. There will be a lot more of features and (music) videos but for now am looking forward to feature Sarkodie”.
Describing the EP in one word, the singer said it’s a "dream-come-through" for him. Again, a big thanks to all those who made it to my EP launch; the management, media players, bloggers, stakeholder, presenters and to all Circle Tiptoe Lane guys, I say big up yourselves. I appreciate your massive support. Not forgetting all my One Side Family loyal fans who came to support this great history. Expect more greater things From Kobena Richiz and One Side Family" he added.
The 6-track EP was produced and mastered by producer Jay Nim.
The launch saw great performances from his label mates and some other artists and was held on March 23, 2019 at Oasis Pool and Shisha Lounge, begins police headquarters Osu.
Kobena Richiz is a One Side Family first signed artiste.
