#VGMA2019: Stonebwoy regrets and apologises for his actions, explains why he pulled gun

Multiple award-winning Reggae/Dancehall artiste, Livingstone Etse Satekla, widely known as Stonebwoy has rendered an unqualified apology to his fans, Ghanaians and organizers of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards for his actions during the 20th edition of the awards.

The award winning artiste pulled out a gun in the early hours of Sunday, May 19 while on stage to receive his award as the Reggae/Dancehall Artiste of the Year. This is the fifth consecutive time he is winning the award.

Stonebwoy who was just about delivering an acceptance speech after receiving his award was seen advancing towards the edge of the stage with a gun in hand when his long standing rival Shatta Wale and his team were making their way to the stage.

The incident caused a scuffle between team members of the two artistes, Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale, causing the awards show to halt temporarily.

According to him, he pulled out his gun “out of natural instincts.”

He toned very remorseful and language was apt. His statement overwhelmingly addresses every area of the issue and challenges himself to be a better role model henceforth.
